Please note that the club and afterschool activity offerings or the meeting days or times are subject to change. Additional fees and conditions may apply for getting accepted to an afterschool activity. Please refer to the sponsoring person for further details or the current status of a particular afterschool activity.

Ms. Yatsko Swimming Club Tuesday Students will be traveling to Club Sport to swim for 1 hour after school.  They will gain knowledge in swimming strokes, endurance, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Mr. Winther CASLV-Life Monday A High School Club geared to create activities for the high school student as well as alter the atmosphere of the campus in order to make the high school student feel more welcome.  9-12 grade students encouraged to join and let their voices be heard.
Mr. Dewey Game Club Monday Game club like last year. Play games and socialize in a relaxed atmosphere
Mrs.Switalski Card Club Tuesday Make cards for different holidays.
Ms.Asli Dance Club Thursday This club is open for all middle school students who like dancing. We will prepare a special folk dance show for school events (like Around The world Festival). And also we will join a folk dance competition in Los Angeles which we did last year and had so much fun there.
Mr. Brown ThinkQuest Team Monday The ThinkQuest International Competition challenges students to solve a problem using their critical thinking, communication, and technology skills. Use the latest technologies and your brainpower to create an entry that demonstrates your skills on an international stage!
Mrs.McCandless scrapbooking Tuesday Students will meet and work with their photographs. Placing them on pages, writing captions, working with the Crik-et machine and designing the layout.
Mr. Gonzales soccer Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Competitive middle school league.
Mr. Yilmaz High School Science Club Thursday We are going to work on projects and different topics to prepare to the science related competitions.

Mrs.Sloan Speech and Debate Tuesday, Thursday In Speech and Debate we will learn how to communicate and argue logically. It is a fun way to learn logic thinking and speaking styles. We will look at the events occuring in the world and discuss the issues facing the world. If you choose you can compete in the local Speech and Debate tournaments; which will reguire a fee per tournament. Through these local tournaments you can qualify to compete in the National Debate tournament in June!! The skills you will develop here will help you succeed in almost every subject and career field you pursue. The Club/team is open to any Middle and High Schooler.

Mr. Sol Music Club Thursday Music activities such as Music ensembles and choir every other week
Ms.Switalski Card Club Tuesday To learn how to make cards for different events.
Mr.Fioritto Key Club Thursday KEY Club is an international organization, Kiwanis Educated Youth, that focuses on teaching high school students the important of civic responsibility and community service. There is a membership fee, details to follow.
If a teacher wants to team up, I would like that as I don't have a classroom to host the club meetings.
Mr.Suksangasophon Robotics Club Tuesday, Thursday In Robotics club, students are provided with additional activities to complete (that are not included in Robotics "class").  Additionally, club members prepare themselves for the First Lego League competition that takes place in December, 2011.  
Members meet Tues. / Thur. 2:15-3:15 pm starting August 30th (tentative).
Mr.Suksangasophon Physics Crash Course Friday In the Physics crash course, students will learn the fundamentals of physics.  Each meeting consists of 30 minutes lecture and 20 minutes of online tutorial.  Students meet Friday 2:15-3:15 pm starting October 1st (tentative).
Ms.Niibu Digital Photography Monday Club members will learn basic digital photography skills while helping to capture moments from the Coral Academy school year.  Student pictures will be seen in the 2011-2012 yearbook, and students will have the opportunity to participate in Josten's photography contests in the spring.

Mrs.Moreno Book Review Club Thursday The club will choose a contemporary, young adult novel for members to read on their own time and to discuss at club meetings.
Ms.Smith 6th grade math tutor sessions Tuesday Tutor any/all 6th grade students in math that feel they are struggling, need extra help or just need some simple guidance. I can help with note taking tips, test taking tips, how to stay organized and boost comprehension of math concepts.

According to the National Junior Honor Society, membership is based on students' outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship. Eligible students receive information on the application process, which includes information on recommendations needed from teachers and administrators, as well as deadlines.  Once all paperwork has been submitted, the Faculty Council, composed of Coral Academy faculty, will meet, review, and vote on membership.
